Senior IT Technician

Know Technology, LLC is currently looking for a Senior Technician to join our Professional Services team. This position can be filled in either our Camden or Portland location.

Job Responsibilities include:
  • Work with project managers in delivering technology solutions efficiently to our clients.
  • Provide technical support for existing client solutions.
  • Use provided PSA tools to document, track and monitor work flows.
  • When required, escalate system problems to senior staff.
  • When required and as directed achieve certification levels required to advance the practice.
  • Assist with other internal technical requirements as time permits.
 
Job Qualifications:
A successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented with good decision making abilities. They will also have strong troubleshooting skills.
 
IT Skills: Preferred candidates will have proficiency in several of the following areas: 
  • Trouble ticketing systems (i.e. ConnectWise)
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7
  • Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010
  • Virtualization Solutions (i.e. VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Storage Solutions (i.e. NAS, SAN - iSCSI & FC)
  • Systems Management Solutions (i.e. System Center, SolarWinds, HP OpenView)
  • Thin client computing (i.e. Terminal Services, Citrix)
  • Backup Solutions (Microsoft, Symantec, Cloud, de-duplication)
General Requirements:
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Work primarily 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.  The nature of the job requires some after hours and weekend work.
