Stephen is the President and CTO of Know Technology which he founded in 1998. Stephen manages the IT Professional Services Division of Know Technology, directing the overall technology solutions the company implements and manages for its clients. In this role, he provides technology guidance that helps organizations meet their business objectives.
Stephen, a Maine native, obtained his degree at the University of Maine. He has worked in the IT industry for 25 years; including retail IT consulting, the Internet Service Provider & Communications Industry, and IT guidance and solutions. Stephen has served as an engineer or project manager on large scale network infrastructure deployments as well as critical Line of Business application rollouts. His work has taken him throughout the US and Middle East with companies such as Berkshire Hathaway, Cam Commerce Solutions, Adidas America and FAME.
Stephen is actively involved in the technology community – serving on the boards of TechMaine, the Maine Technology Institute, and the Maine Technology Users Group. Formerly, Stephen held a ten year position on the board of PopTech.
Patrick S. Jones

Patrick is the COO of Know Technology. He joined the company in 2002 and has played a key role in growing the Know Technology business. Patrick, a partner in the company, is responsible for ensuring that the evolving organization has resources to support day to day operations including administration, finance, sales and marketing.
Prior to joining Know Technology, Patrick was a Senior Vice President at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. His responsibilities included managing the Emerging Growth Partners Division, a group that provides commercial lending, capital raising and merger and acquisition services to emerging companies, usually with a technology focus.
Patrick earned a BA from Macalester College where he studied history and economics.
Tim Barthelman

Tim runs Know Technology's Portland office where he manages the company's Portland Data Center and leads the Managed Services Division. A partner in Know Technology, Tim has been with the company since 2000 when he merged his web hosting and consulting company with Know Technology.
Tim is a graduate of Roger Williams University, where he received a BS degree in Construction Science. Following college he went on to work extensively in the commercial construction industry in Portland and Boston.
Tim brings his knowledge of Internet services and network security to Know Technology and their clients. His experience includes web hosting, network security, systems management, and virtualization. He holds technical certifications for both WatchGuard Security and Microsoft Virtualization.
